Numbah Two!

OK, I won't flood this blog like I do mine. But, as far as pop culture goes, I had noticed something earlier this month. Limp Bizkit's new CD was just added to Real-One Rhapsody (Yes, yes, no one listens to Limp Bizkit. Aliens make their records go platinum). And anyway, they were all Rage-esque. Which is to say Rage Against the Machine, if you didn't grow up in the OC where they're from and where they're still played hourly, years after their breakup.

Anyway, there are some lyrics like this:

As we approach this
A relentless quest for revengence
While those who expose and pretend this
Life, is just a big ball of cherries
A bunch of fairies
Screamin' to be scary

[Chorus 1]
It's propaganda
Sell it to the innocent
Oh yeah they're buyin' it
Just show up to rebel again

And:

Ressurect the intention
Once your vision is now mass-produced,
Imagine the insults a blessing
Imagine accepting the truth

[Chorus]
Imagine accepting the truth
Imagine accepting the truth
Imagine accepting the truth
Just imagine accepting the truth
Imagine accepting the truth

Thing is, we never really find out what the 'Propoganda' or 'Truth' actually is. I guess we can assume various left-leaning, angry postulates, due to Durst saying they would take off where Rage had left off. Anyway, it's supposed to be relevant, but then it never says anything, and I thought that was funny/sad.

And, even more sadly, many will find it an improvement over...

Who's in, now who's out
Hands up, now hands down
Back up, back up
Tell me what you gonna do now
Breathe in, now breathe out
Hands up, now hands down
Back up, back up
Tell me what you gonna do now
Keep rollin' rollin' rollin' rollin'
Keep rollin' rollin' rollin' rollin'
Keep rollin' rollin' rollin' rollin'
Keep rollin' rollin' rollin' rollin'

But that's another issue.
