I do enjoy Warlock (also the other movie by that name, with Henry Fonda, but I digress...) especially for Julian Sands's very player-character bad guy. I mean in the sense that he's not playing to anyone's rules but his own. Incidentally, it is of course a reskinned version of the Terminator plot only going the other way in time.

I had a similar experience with the Blair Witch Project. After we saw it in the theaters, my friends dropped me off to get my car, which was parked at my grandparents' house, and I had to drive home alone in the dark. I wasn't very scared during the movie, but man, I was terrified on that drive home!

Just bought The Scar. Looking forward to it being completely different from Everything Was Beautiful and Nothing Hurt so I can hopefully go to bed not sobbing.

You probably won’t like the protagonist until halfway through the book. You shouldn’t. He is a jerk and is getting what he deserves. By the end though, you should be rooting for him and for love.

If it is the cad of a man throwing knives at wenches…you are right in your assessment of my feelings toward him 😂
