Speaking of losing history, most of my reviews are lost that way. I haven't ever really tried to preserve them. It is what it is.
When I assess LA's Worst Critic, whom I'm not going to name right here, it's less an assessment of his critical prowess as it is his existence as a human being. He's literally a hateful bigot, and one who often disrupts screenings by yelling right-wing slogans at the screen, who should not be getting credentialed for anything by just about any objective standard cited by studios and corporations. Yet I suspect the moment they shut him out, if they ever do, he will proclaim it anti-christian bigotry, as he writes for a conservative nonprofit. The man tried to pick an argument with my wife out of thin air over Black Panther's "left-wing bias."
I used to find his bad reviews funny, but these days, I think he's actively part of a dangerous larger movement.
Not, the original version of this comment specified his hatreds, but every time I tried to post it, it said "something went wrong." I wasn't sure if that's a glitch or substack rule, but suffice it to say they are specific prejudices, and most of the ones you can imagine.
Thanks for the HT!
Always.
Man, that's some fascinating history trivia about Flying Buffalo, thanks!

Did you archive your old website?
I know that I can archive my Blogger site, which I have done and need to do again, but I don't know about other sites.
I did, and it had all my old New Times reviews. Everything else, though, I consider that I write for a paycheck, not posterity.
I do save all the toy photos.
