One sub-additon: on the suubject of 36th Chamber of Shaolin, you have to include the 1976 SHAOLIN TEMPLE film by Chang Cheh (same director as Five Venoms, and *not* the same film as Jet Li's "THE Shaolin Temple") and starring virtually every Shaw Bros actor of that time, including early appearances by the Venoms! And it's meant to be much more steeped in the history of the Fall of the Shaolin Temple itself. AND...it features numerous Chambers / challenges a full 2 years before Liu Chia-Lang and Gordon Liu recrated them for their own film. It's great.
The Shaw Brothers studio probably deserves their own list. They, like Hammer, produced so many great films and of course the companies partnered in the 1970s.

Awesome list. I think I have seen only like half the list at best.
