So, based on your video, it didn't taste as bad as it seemed it would...

I bring this up, though, because I decided to make a banana cream pie, but instead of using banana pudding or letting the bananas overripen themselves, I opted to sous vide them. The pie itself was excellent, but it honestly looked like a pie shell filled with something that comes loosely out at the end rather than what should be going in at the beginning.

It was nowhere near as bad as I imagined, but it was a far cry from good. If I was to remake it, I'd leave out the Almond Extract as that added an unnecessary layer. I'd also leave out the fruit cocktail. That wasn't fruit cake bad, but it wasn't a bonus.

"I don't know why I am still eating this?"

Made me laugh out loud.

In regards to the...adventurous pie, I guess the proof was in the pudding and not necessarily the eye of the Beholder. I bet it still was good enough that you ate the whole slice. The creamy part, I imagine, is the lure. The fruit cocktail is like a shot of a laxative thrown into your mousse. But, I agree; the cherries are the best part of the cocktail!

I know my ten best movie list was paywalled, but spoiler -- KPop Demon Hunters was the clear #1.

It was fantastic. Among my favorite animated films ever and one of my favorite films period. I don't watch many movies multiple times in a short time frame, but I watched K-Pop five times in a month.

"I always promised myself I’d never forget what it was like to be a kid when I grew up, or look down on populist tastes when they had a point. KPop Demon Hunters made me excited about the future of cinema like nothing else this year...and I have no particular interest in Kpop as music. From its use of anime tropes in the 3D musical milieu to the way the heart-on-sleeve songs express raw teenage emotional extremes, and the solos get creative animated sequences around them...and then from there to the weird bird in the little hat and its friend the blue tiger, plus a more forgiving concept of Hell than mainline Christianity can manage. I was with this one from the moment it started, and its Jem-but-updated energy hit my wavelength, despite my being far from the target demographic. This is the territory studios should be entering if they want new moviegoers rather than old franchises. (If you’re older and/or like slow-paced movies best, it probably isn’t for you.)"

Now that I'm finally watching the video, I feel a real Nick Offerman vibe from it while you're eating. Once you stop eating, you start talking faster and it's less so.
