You are right that it is different in ...Anonymous,

You are right that it is different in that you can still move while within the ZoC in 5th Edition, but it still exerts a form of "Force Projection" that limits movement and makes combat "sticky." To be fair though, earlier editions of D&D have this as well. In Moldvay/Cook D&D, combat is assumed to occur to everyone within 10 feet of one another Christian Lindkehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12381310217234123318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6591530.post-67021802665996893172023-06-12T01:13:19.232-07:002023-06-12T01:13:19.232-07:00The interesting thing with DD5E is that as soon as...The interesting thing with DD5E is that as soon as you enter enemy ZOC you may move freely within it, not recieving an attack of opportunity until you actuelly leave. This os excatly the opposite of haw most other ZOC-games handle this. Moving within ZOC normally costs extra movement or is forbidden as you are in ZOC. This is as written off course, anyone handling this differently? 🤔Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6591530.post-20231363973775008852012-02-05T08:20:54.873-08:002012-02-05T08:20:54.873-08:00The answer to "How do you play D&D?"...The answer to "How do you play D&D?" has changed over time. I started with Avalon Hill wargames (Third Reich!), then played D&D in the 70s. Others starting in the 80s/90s seem to have started with no wargaming background, and minis were more for 'painting nerds' - then the 00s introduced prepainted minis to D&D. So there's a 2 decade swath of D&D players who Tom Muellerhttp://gelatinouscubed.netnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6591530.post-71350720805223588462012-02-04T08:23:48.939-08:002012-02-04T08:23:48.939-08:00What about 2E's Combat & Tactics rules? I also hope that in their desire to make 5e 'not a miniatures game', that they don't take away the fun options Victor Von Davehttp://dave.monkeymartian.com/noreply@blogger.com
