Like Mark Altman and Robert Burnett, the creators of the brilliant GenX comedy Free Enterprise (1998), I am a huge William Shatner fan. But this recent post by Mickey Kaus regarding an LA Times article had me doing a quick inventory of my Star Trek paraphernelia. I discovered that I own all of one, yes one, episode on video, the first six movies and one action figure. Signficantly below what Corante reported represents as the average amount of Star Trek merchandise common among Toronto pedophiles.
No wonder Gabriel Koerner received so many sexual solicitations after his appearance in Trekkies.
All of this information makes the photograph of the infant on the Trekkies cover a little creepy.
