The New York Times : Congress Calls Baseball's Steroid Policy Misleading

Baseball has been writing a policy for testing its athletes for steroid abuse and that policy was recently subpoenaed by the U.S. Congress and then leaked to the New York Times. The question raised by the New York Times: is there really any test at all? I agree with some of the sentiments reported by Duff Wilson that allowing players to leave the room in the middle of a test or imposing a penalty of "up to a $10,000 fine" when Olympic athletes get a two year suspension is pretty weak. Is baseball really all that serious about cleaning up the national game?
