Christian, next time you are on the East Coast let me know, I can always swing down to DC for a day. It is only a couple of hours, unless there is a cap on lawyers in the city?
For those of you that don’t know the Red Sox are now the hottest team in the American League. They are ably crushing every team they face and not just the patsies (i.e. Devil Rays and Blue Jays), but excellent ball clubs like the Angels, A’s, and Rangers. Could this be the year, probably not, but it is fun listening to New York radio’s frenzied panic as the gap has slipped from 10 and ½ to 2 and ½ . History is on the side of the Yankees; however, their pitching staff is god awful. I believe I would take almost any team’s staff over theirs. (With the noted exception of Rivera who has been the true Mr. October in New York.) In a short series the Yankees are suspect. The Post season is still a ways off. The 6 games left between New York and Boston will be classic baseball as the American League East hangs in the balance. Manny v. Sheff for king of the diamond. These games will be intense. I love September Baseball.
